About un canadien errant
This blog derives its name from an old French-Canadian song about those exiled from Lower Canada after the 1837 rebellions.
I'm not too much of a rebel, and I'm definitely not in exile, but I am, one could say, a "wandering Canadian." Anyway, it's a good song. I recommend the Leonard Cohen version (Recent Songs, 1979). For lyrics, click here, and for a more detailed song history, click here.
